Kings Canyon

This waterfall alcove is one of the many lovely surprises
that welcomes the visitor who walks along the trails that
connect Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, in
California (USA).
While watching the cascade of water that tumbles down
with great power from the top of a ridge or from the side
of a mountain, we become aware of the rock over which
it flows, and the ancientness of it all. It is at such mo-
ments that we deeply sense our human presence in the
long, long story of creation, as simply a "blink of time."
